Space Needs

Forté’s current concert setup is an L-shape 21.5′ wide x 8′ deep, with space for us to move behind and around the table and place additional equipment behind the table. This amounts to a rectangular footprint of at least 24′ wide x 10′ deep. In addition to the main footprint, we typically need space to set up handbell trees and other auxiliary instruments, which sometimes includes a drum kit or other large equipment. Let us know of any space concerns when you contact us about potentially hosting a concert and we may be able to work out a reduced footprint.

Equipment Needs

While we can provide our own tables, we prefer to borrow four 8′ x 30″ tables from our host venue to lessen the amount of equipment we need to haul to the venue. (Because of the way our table covers work, we need three 8′ tables for our performance setup, not just some combination of other tables that gets us to the same total length. The remaining table’s length is negotiable as that’s for merchandise sales.)

We supply our own foam and other equipment.

Note: If your venue’s acoustics make it difficult to hear speaking, providing a microphone for announcements in between pieces will be at your discretion. We are comfortable either way.

Financial Matters

We usually don’t charge audience members for tickets to our concerts, but rather take a free-will offering to defray travel expenses (when touring) and fund the group’s needs for equipment maintenance, audio and video recording, etc. If you would prefer to pay us a set fee instead of taking a free-will offering, just let us know and we can come to an agreement on a fee.

During the concert we also generally speak about the monthly support options that we offer for supporting the groups mission/goals (completely voluntary), so please let us know if this is a concern for your venue so that we can modify our talking points.

Finally, we have merchandise (CDs, DVDs, T-shirts, etc.) that we would like to sell after the concert.

Lodging Needs

For tour concerts (not applicable to concerts in Colorado Springs and the surrounding area): We ask that our hosts arrange for (2-3) hotel rooms for the four of us for the night of the concert.
