What are we up to?
We are always busy! Most of our rehearsals involve both rehearsing music and planning projects. Here’s a look at what we are currently working on.
Rehearsal Repertoire
Here’s a peek at the composition of the repertoire we are currently working on in rehearsals as we prepare for our summer tour, “Kaleidoscope”!
We are planning one New debut on this concert, and we will be performing five Recent pieces that were selections from our 2023 concerts. We are also pulling back some past Favorites as well – four that were last performed in 2019 or early 2020, and two that were last performed more than five years ago, in 2017 or 2018!
Sources of Music
Another way to visualize our currently active repertoire is by how the source material was formatted.
As we are working on our “Kaleidoscope” concert for our summer tour, you can see the range of original sources: four pieces are published Handbell Quartets (though one we have heavily modified), one piece is published for In-Hand (12 bells) (though we added vocals to it), four pieces came from Piano Sheet Music, two pieces are published for Full Handbell Choir, and two pieces are Our Own Covers/Adaptations.
Project Planning
Here are just a few of the projects we are actively planning:
A workshop in Green Mountain Falls, CO in October 2024
Christmas concerts around Colorado in December 2024
We are doing a lot of business planning to increase our reach!
We also have a few projects that are on our mind, but are not being worked on as actively:
New CD and DVD Production
Large-scale Workshop/Conference – possibly Summer 2025
Yeah, but what GAMES are we playing?
In addition to rehearsing and planning, we try to make time to play together too! (No, nobody is sponsoring us to write this.)
We are currently alternating between exploring the reaches of Gloomhaven and returning to Terrinoth for Descent: Legends of the Dark (The Betrayer’s War Expansion)!
Other campaign-based games we’ve played together:
Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion (Yes, we started with the expansion and only later moved to the base game!)
Other non-campaign-based games we’ve played together include:
Bohnanza (AKA The Bean Game)
Dice Throne (Dice Throne Adventures, using both Seasons 1 and 2, and sometimes Marvel)
Multiple games using the JOYO game system
Poker (some of us are not good at this game…)
Volcano (a game played with Looney Pyramids)
