Forté is, without question, the best handbell quartet I have ever had the honor to experience! They will blow your socks off-whether they are playing a quiet, meditative piece or a louder, more exciting number. Their style, musicality, and infectious spirit makes me come back to see them again and again and again.

The musicians of Forté make any evening fly by with their talent, skill, style, and humor! I think that all musicians of any kind whatsoever should attend at least one Forté concert, as it will challenge them to also rethink what is possible in their own musical experiences!

The saying “God gave us music that we might pray without words” sums up the Forté Handbell Quartet. I played bells for 27 years and during that time was challenged to learn & do many techniques, but I’ve never seen anything like Forté. What an inspiration and a glorious way to praise God.

This was a fantastic concert! Every piece was beautifully played, and I also appreciated the spoken words in between pieces, the way you connected the pieces to the theme of the concert and guided the audience to join in. I love that we get to hear form each musician and really appreciate your collaborative spirit as performers. Really, I could go on and on, but your playing was so moving and soul-filling. It lifted my spirit to the Lord in worship. There were so many magical moments, but when you performed “As the Deer” I was sure I was hearing your singing at one point and then saw that it was only the bells playing. Were the bells singing? Were angels joining in? Was it my heart singing along? That’s the beauty of live performance, which you made especially wonderful last night!

There are no words that can really do justice to the performance. I really enjoyed Flight of the Bumblebee, and Carillon was so beautiful and moving. The concert was amazing. Too many wonderful moments to call them out, but I’m always amazed at how well you can do your runs, whether it is a fast run by one person playing 10+ notes in a row or all of you playing seemingly 300 notes in a row. The notes are distinct and in time no matter how fast you are playing. As a former bell ringer, I know how difficult those are to do well. Thanks for the fantastic concert!
