“Remember Christ our Savior was born on Christmas Day.” With that invitation from the familiar carol God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen, Forté Handbell Quartet invites audiences to revisit the Christmas story and celebrate the good news at its heart. From the quiet wonder of Bethlehem to the joyful proclamation of the angels, News of Great Joy explores the promise, hope, and lasting significance of Christ's birth through music that has carried this story across generations.

Known for their skillful, energetic performances and creative approach to handbell ringing, Forté brings together beloved Christmas carols, traditional hymns, and a few unexpected musical selections. From the peaceful beauty of Silent Night to the exuberance of Sussex Carol and Carol of the Bells, the program offers moments of reflection, celebration, and Forté's signature musical surprises. Together, these selections create an engaging, family-friendly concert experience that celebrates both the joy of making music and the timeless message of Christmas.
